Lighting isn’t always the obvious choice for a Christmas present, but a houseof light is a great idea as it is a lasting gift that earns them serious design credentials. Our recent additions of the wireless table lamps have been a hot topic for houseof fans and colleagues. A statement piece that can follow them all around the home, providing light for multiple purposes.

We have two rechargeable lamps in our collection: the moon and the glow-worm. Earlier this year, we launched the Swoon sideboard collaboration that featured the mesmeric Charcoal grey rechargeable table lamp; a light that mimics the moon's lunar phases. With seven hours of charge, it’s the perfect light to complete the 9-5 working day! The Charcoal grey body forms part of our signature colour palette, a bold colour that accentuates your interiors.

The glowworm is from our most recent addition to the range, but with a lead time of 5-6 weeks, it won’t arrive until the new year.

We all know renovating homes is a big expense and with the cost of living taking a squeeze on people’s bank accounts, sometimes just a small contribution will help. The Seed Lamp, in collaboration with Interior Designer Dan Lovatt, is the perfect gift for creatives and those who have lost sight of their right-brain thinking! It is a customisable sculptural table lamp that you can decorate and redecorate time and time again. The individual pieces of wood can be reconfigured, painted and repainted depending on your mood, allowing you to tap into your creativity and imagination. It is the ideal present for someone just beginning to get into DIY, as it is a small enough project to pique their interest - make sure you check out our Instagram to see some of the ways our customers have dressed it!

For the Environmentally conscious

Long-listed for the lighting design category of the Dezeen Awards, our collaborative project with Volume Creative, the XOU, was selected as one of 270 projects from over 5000 entries. The XOU is a first-generation eco-product made entirely out of conscious materials, designed and manufactured in London.

The base is made from 2 carefully selected materials that intersect. The first is a unique composite material developed by Volume Creative made from solvent-free gypsum, and recycled post-consumer plastic waste to create an exclusive terrazzo design. The second section is 3D printed and made from bioplastic, naturally sourced from sugar cane and biodegradable. The final product is finished in natural beeswax and is available in charcoal and teal.
